Founded in 1979 by Brian Guy Mould, BGM Logistics Consultants is a West Yorkshire-based, family-run business. With experience working alongside some of the most well-known, respected names in British manufacturing Brian nurtured BGM to success, creating a solid business built on strong values and close relationships with clients.
How it started
When Brian’s son Howard joined in 1984, the business reached whole new heights as Howard embarked on the enormous task of changing our process from manually auditing clients’ freight invoices by hand over to an efficient, automated process using the Apple II computer!
And our work didn’t stop there. In 2012 we entered our third family generation by welcoming Matthew to the company as Commercial Director. Matthew is now responsible for supporting clients and expanding BGM’s service offering.
The impact of Brexit
But then came Brexit in 2020, which changed up the logistics and supply landscape drastically. With decades of experience in this sector, it became clear that we needed to step up and help out. As such, we added customs brokerage to our services, offering additional support for small businesses navigating these complex new customs requirements.
The consultative approach is still the BGM philosophy, and due to continued demand from clients, offering advice alongside handling freight requirements from source to delivery is a key part of our service range. We ensure you move your goods in the most effective way.
